This involved Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang and Dungun.

In a statement issued at 11.45am, MetMalaysia also issued continuous rain warning at the severe level for Perlis, Kedah (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling) and Perak (Hulu Perak).

Also issued was the continuous rain warning at the alert level for Kulim and Bandar Baharu in Kedah, whole of Penang, Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Terengganu (Kemaman), Pahang (Cameron Highland, Lipis, Raub,Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran and Kuantan) and Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat).

Earlier, it was reported that the second day of floods in Terengganu had seen a steep rise in the number of victims as 2,525 people from 712 families were evacuated this morning compared to 1,237 people from 339 families last night.

In Kelantan, the number of flood victims also increased to 853 people (237 families) this morning from 400 people (113 families) last night.

The drainage and irrigation department reported that the water at five main rivers in Kelantan had already reached the danger level.

The rivers are Sungai Lanas in Air Lanas, Jeli; Sungai Golok in Kampung Jenob, Tanah Merah; Sungai Kelantan in Temangan, Machang; Sungai Lebir in Kampung Tualang, Kuala Krai; and Sungai Kelantan in Rantau Panjang, Pasir Mas.
