Failure to get their third jab would see their status on the MySejahtera app changed to “not fully vaccinated” on April 1, health minister Khairy Jamaluddin said.
Khairy previously said it was highly recommended for senior citizens and adults who were inoculated with the Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Sinovac vaccines, to receive their boosters at least three months after receiving their primary vaccine.
He had also said that the digital vaccination certificates of these individuals would change status from yellow to white to show they are not fully vaccinated, adding that restrictions would be in place at certain entry points.
Meanwhile, Khairy also announced the reopening of the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) Covid-19 treatment centre beginning tomorrow,
He said this was to ease the burden on other public hospitals and lower the risk of Covid-19 patients spreading the infection to non-Covid-19 patients.
“We have decided to reopen MAEPS with 100 beds first and a standby of 850 beds if needed. MAEPS had around 10,000 beds at the peak of the Delta variant wave.
“This will further ensure that Klang Valley hospitals have the capacity to continue non-Covid-19-related treatments,” he said.
