This comes after Muda unveiled Rasid Abu Bakar as its candidate.

PKR had announced on Feb 14 that Dr Zamil Najwah Arbain, who vied for Tanjung Surat in GE14 but lost, will be contesting the seat.
Muda today announced its full list of candidates for the March 12 polls, with Sangaran Rawisandaran contesting Machap and Fikri Musa vying for Parit Raja.

“After multiple rounds of negotiations with DAP and Amanah, PKR announced last week that they will be contesting in all 20 seats,” said Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
“For Muda, we respect our friends in PKR. We want to focus on seats won by Perikatan Nasional-Bersatu and Umno-BN, and we have decided to contest these seats.”

DAP and Amanah previously made way for Muda in six seats, and while PKR offered Muda three seats, they were unable to reach an agreement.
Johor PKR leader Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh was reported to have said that PKR gave Muda 48 hours to reply on the three seats offered, but there was no feedback.
Muda had previously named Amira Aisya Abd Aziz as its candidate in Puteri Wangsa, Lim Wei Jiet (Tenang), Nurafiqah M Zulkifli (Bukit Kepong), and Azrol Rahani (Bukit Permai).
Syed Saddiq said Muda is aware that it is the underdog compared with more established parties.
“But we are trying to be as humble as possible in taking on our first-ever election by competing for seven seats.
“The seven candidates come from diverse and equally qualified backgrounds,” he said, adding that the party will release its election manifesto in the next few days.
Johor goes to the polls on March 12. Nominations will be held on Feb 26 and early polling on March 8.
