PETALING JAYA:
The investigation papers on the #TangkapAzamBaki rally have been referred to the deputy public prosecutor’s (DPP) office in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur, said Brickfields district police chief Amihizam Abdul Shukor.

“We are still waiting for further instructions from the DPP’s office,” said Amihizam, according to Harian Metro.

Hundreds of participants dressed in black joined the rally on Jan 22.

The gathering was also attended by activists Adam Adli, Mandeep Singh, Fahmi Zainol, DAP Youth chief Howard Lee, PKR Youth secretary Syukri Ab Razak and Muda treasurer Tarmizi Anuwar.

Some protesters were seen carrying banners reading “Lawan” and “Lawan korupsi”, while others carried helmets as they marched and chanted “Tolak Azam Baki (Reject Azam Baki)”.

Police only allowed them to march from the Bangsar LRT station in Jalan Bangsar towards the Brickfields junction, about 600m away.

After more than an hour, the rally participants finally dispersed peacefully at 12.40pm.
