
This is also close to the state’s previous all-time high of 3,487 cases recorded on Aug 26 last year.
The number of new infections was also a significant jump from the 2,069 cases recorded the previous day.
“This is the all-time high post-vaccination,” state local government and housing minister Masidi Manjun told FMT.
Earlier, in his Twitter account, Masidi said three new school clusters were also detected today.
They are SMK Simpangan in the interior of Paitan, SMK Bukit Garam 1 in Kinabatangan and Institut Pengajian Islam dan Dakwah Sabah in Keningau.
