PSC report on Azam to be tabled in Dewan Rakyat

The Parliamentary Select Committee is to meet next Wednesday on the issue of corporate shares linked to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief Azam Baki.

PETALING JAYA:
The report from next Wednesday’s meeting of the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) for Agencies under the Prime Minister’s Department on the issue of corporate shares linked to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Azam Baki will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat.

Committee member William Leong told Sinar Harian that recommendations related to the subject could only be made after an inquiry was conducted.

“The committee’s report will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat so all MPs and the people can get information from it.”

Dewan Rakyat secretary Nizam Mydin Bacha Mydin said in a circular dated Jan 11 to the nine members of the committee that the meeting would be held at 2pm next Wednesday in the main Parliament building.

The select committee is chaired by PAS’ Kuala Krai MP Abdul Latiff Abdul Rahman.

It also includes Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, Parit MP Mohd Nizar Zakaria, Baram MP Anyi Ngau, Setiu MP Shaharizukirnain Abd Kadir, Kota Kinabalu MP Chan Foong Hin, Kota Melaka MP Khoo Poay Tiong and Sepanggar MP Mohd Azis Jamman.
