PETALING JAYA:
Terengganu police have busted a ring believed to be selling fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates, with more than 1,900 of such documents confiscated.

In a raid last night, the Terengganu commercial crimes department arrested a 51-year-old doctor at a private clinic in Marang.

Terengganu police chief Rohaimi Md Isa told a press conference the raid was a result of a tip-off on the sale of the fake vaccine certificates to anti-vaxxers.

He said the suspect was believed to have been operating the ring online since September, with each “jab” costing between RM400 and RM600.

“There are around 1,900 individuals who have obtained this certificate and we are investigating whether all of these certificates are authentic or not,” he said.
