KOTA KINABALU:
A man is believed to have been beaten to death by an electric cable thief near an abandoned office in Kingfisher here last night.

The 50-year-old victim was found covered with blood by his friend.

Kota Kinabalu police chief Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the victim had gone to check the fuse box after the electricity supply to his house was cut off at 10.30pm.

An hour later, the man’s friend nearby heard a dog barking and went to check.

He found the man bleeding from a head wound.
