PETALING JAYA: Mara has announced a flexible loan repayment plan and rental exemption for businesses affected by the floods.
Rural development minister Mahdzir Khalid said as the victims had suffered severe hardship and losses, no action would be taken against those who fail to repay their loans at the moment.
“Mara will be flexible about this and allow the rescheduling of loans.
“Businesses will also be exempted from rental payments due to the losses suffered from the floods.”
Mahdzir hoped these initiatives would ease the burden faced by businesses and allow them to use the additional cash to restart their operations.
