KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has detected a Covid-19 cluster involving a teachers’ training college, with at least 27 students infected.
State local government and housing minister Masidi Manjun said a female student was identified as the index case of the Jalan Tuaran Bakut cluster.
“Another 26 students who were staying in the same hostel with the index case later tested positive for the virus after close contact screenings,” he told FMT.
He added that the 27 had been separated from the rest of the students at the hostel and were receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, Masidi said the state recorded 322 new cases in the last 24 hours, 15 more compared with yesterday.
