5 new Covid-19 clusters, almost all linked to workplaces

The clusters were detected in Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Perak, Melaka and Kuala Lumpur.

Four clusters involve the workplace, while one is linked to the education sector.
PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry has detected five new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

In a statement, he said four involved workplaces, while the remaining one was linked to the education sector.

The clusters were detected in Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Perak, Melaka and Kuala Lumpur.

Negeri Sembilan

  • Jalan Putra Nilai: a workplace cluster in Seremban. 48 screened, 16 positive.

Melaka

  • Industri Teknologi Cheng Lapan: a workplace cluster in Melaka Tengah. 78 screened, 26 positive.

Johor

  • Jalan Bypass 2: an education cluster in Segamat. 97 screened, 46 positive.

Kuala Lumpur

  • Jalan Lazat Satu: a workplace cluster in Lembah Pantai. 12 screened, all positive.

Perak

  • Jalan Industri Satu Jelapang: a workplace cluster in Kinta. 35 screened, 16 positive.
