Jerantut MP appointed PUNB chairman

Umno man Ahmad Nazlan Idris had quit as Malaysian Rubber Board chairman.

Jerantut MP Ahmad Nazlan Idris has been appointed chairman of Perbadanan Usahawanan Nasional Bhd (PUNB).

Bernama reported that Nazlan’s appointment came into effect on Oct 15. He replaced Tanjung Karang MP Noh Omar who was appointed to Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s Cabinet.

PUNB CEO Izwan Zainuddin welcomed Nazlan’s appointment, saying the Umno man brought with him vast knowledge and experience which he hoped would strengthen the corporation’s position.

Nazlan was previously the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) chairman from 2020 to 2021.

He was also the chairman of Kolej Poly-Tech Mara from 2015 to 2018 and sat on the Federal Land Development Authority’s board of advisers and the board of directors of Lembaga Global Ventures Sugar Sdn Bhd.

He has a bachelor’s degree in counselling and guidance from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a basic teaching certificate from Maktab Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim in Johor.
