
Phase 1, from Kwasa Damansara to Kampung Batu is scheduled to be launched at the end of November.
Wee said major infrastructure for Phase 2, such as tunnels, stations and other structures, had been completed and the remaining work to be completed included building services, architectural and landscaping finishes.
“I am very pleased to see this level of progress, and I am confident that Phase 2 of the Putrajaya Line can start operating as targeted in January 2023,” he said.
The Putrajaya MRT Line would be an important catalyst for economic recovery by enabling many people to return to normal life and go to work, he said after visiting the Kuala Lumpur Hospital MRT crossing site today.
The MRT Putrajaya Line (formerly known as the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line) covers a span of 56.2km, with 36 stations from Kwasa Damansara to Putrajaya.
Phase 1 runs over 17.5km from Kwasa Damansara to Kampung Batu and will link places such as Damansara Damai, Bandar Sri Damansara, Kepong, Jinjang and Kampung Batu.
