Earlier today, tech website Lowyat.net reported that a JPN database holding personal details of four million Malaysians had been put up for sale at a marketplace forum.
The database also allegedly contained information from the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) website.
It was priced at 0.2 Bitcoin (RM35,495).
A Twitter user, Adnan Mohd Shukor, said the database contains information on identity card numbers, home addresses, mobile phone numbers and email addresses.
