PETALING JAYA:
Visitors to Sarawak from other states will no longer need to be quarantined if they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, said the state government today.

However, such travellers need to apply to enter the state by filling out the EnterSarawak Form and e-Health Declaration Form (eHDF) online, according to the latest Sarawak disaster management committee (SDMC) regulations.

They also have to prove that they are fully vaccinated, submit a negative RT-PCR test result taken three days prior to their departure, and provide any other relevant personal information upon request.

The rule comes into effect tomorrow.

The SDMC statement also said that those under the age of 18 who enter Sarawak with fully vaccinated guardians also need not be quarantined.

However, they are advised to self-monitor at home for 10 days.

Meanwhile, those who have not been vaccinated, or are not fully vaccinated yet, will be quarantined for 10 days at designated quarantine hotels.

They also have to apply to enter the state via the EnterSarawak Form and eHDF online, submit a negative RT-PCR test result taken three days prior to their departure, and provide any other relevant personal information upon request.

SDMC said the SOPs were based on the current Covid-19 situation in Sarawak and other states in Malaysia, as well as the increase in the number of fully vaccinated individuals in the country.
