
The 243,972 vaccine doses administered as of midnight yesterday brings the share of fully immunised adults to 75.4%, with Klang Valley already at over 100%. Some 92.5% of eligible recipients around the country have already been given at least one jab.
According to CovidNow, the ministry expects to hit 80% immunity among adults in just six days, by Sept 21. It expects to reach 100% by the end of October.
Yesterday’s total brings the cumulative number of doses administered to 39,234,306. There are still 3,996,149 people waiting for their second jab, while 206,067 remain unregistered.
Johor led all states in yesterday’s vaccination numbers with 46,373 jabs administered. This was followed by Perak (28,887), Sabah (26,483), Kedah (22,756) and Kuala Lumpur (21,305) as states that performed over 20,000 vaccinations.
