In a Twitter post, Amirudin said enforcement authorities had stopped all ongoing works and seized all the machinery involved.
He added that checks with the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council and Gombak district office found that they had not issued any approvals for the development work.
“For your information, the work has nothing to do with the state government and they did not obtain the approval of the local council.”

Responding to questions on enforcement, the menteri besar said the local councils were stretched in terms of the number of officers available, adding that they were currently focused on monitoring Covid-19 standard operating procedures at business premises.
“The state government welcomes complaints from the public and will continue increasing the level of enforcement.”
Earlier, Twitter user @lamkanahraf posted pictures of excavators working on the ridge, on a part of Bukit Tabur that looked bare.
He questioned how the contractors were able to reach the ridge, pointing out that even members of the public were not allowed to hike up Bukit Tabur yet.
“No development should be allowed at Bukit Tabur. I ask for (Amirudin) to explain this.”
