
Now, its story is about to hit TV screens across Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Discovery Inc – which operates the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Travel Channel, among others – has acquired the rights to air ‘Fearless: Rise of the Southern Tigers’.
The series gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at team owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim’s work in building JDT into Malaysian football’s most decorated club.
“I am delighted that many parts of Asia will now be able to watch the incredible story of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC and how we worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure success on and off the field,” said Tunku Ismail, who is also the Crown Prince of Johor.
In telling the team’s story, the show features interviews with technical director Alistair Edwards, sporting director Martin Prest, head coach Benjamin Mora as well as with players and fans.

‘Fearless: Rise of the Southern Tigers’ premieres Sept 11 at 9pm on the Discovery Asia channel across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
