
Masidi, who is the state’s official Covid-19 spokesman, said a total of 1,414,020 doses of the Pfizer, Sinovac and CanSino vaccines have been delivered to Sabah so far.
“This included 515,150 doses that came throughout this week,” he said, in a text message.
“Another 99,400 doses of the Pfizer vaccine will arrive from Kuching in two or three days’ time.”
Meanwhile, the number of daily infections went below 3,000 cases for the first time in four days but still remained high.
Masidi said 2,834 infections were recorded over the past 24 hours, compared with 3,010 cases yesterday. The state has consistently recorded over 3,000 daily cases since Aug 24.
He added the bulk of the cases were detected in Kota Kinabalu with 603, followed by Penampang (396), Sandakan (271), Papar (223), Tuaran (181) and Tawau (174).
Two new clusters were also reported, namely Lima in the interior Nabawan district, which is a wedding reception cluster, and Pin Sipu in the east coast Kinabatangan district which is a workplace cluster.
