
“Although I have my own views, it is the right of PM ‘Mail’ (Ismail) which we should respect,” said the Usukan assemblyman on his Facebook account today.
As such, he wished the new front of ministers and deputy ministers well in their new roles.
“The Cabinet needs to work and focus their attention to overcome the Covid-19 crisis and other related matters.
“When the situation stabilises, we can then return the mandate to the people,” he said.

Meanwhile, former Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Azalina Othman Said also welcomed and congratulated Ismail on the new line-up, and hoped the people would be the Cabinet’s focus particularly in the battle against Covid-19.
She also welcomed the commitment by the prime minister and the opposition to enhance the functions of Parliament as well as the freedom of the judiciary, institutional reforms and good governance as stated on Aug 25.
“Towards this end, I am happy to contribute and support any new initiatives that the government wants to implement collectively.
“I hope the principles of constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy will continue to be a beacon and guide for the government and MPs, regardless whether they are from the government, opposition or independent bloc,” said the Pengerang MP on Facebook.
