In a statement on Facebook, South Klang district police chief Shamsul Amar Ramli said the couple, aged 35 and 36, were arrested at their home in Bandar Putera 2, Klang at 5pm.
He said they are being investigated for negligently spreading disease harmful to life, public mischief and abusing internet services, following a Facebook post of their experience on a FB account named “Mujaheeda Soleha”.
In the Facebook post, a woman wrote about how easily she and her husband, along with their two young children, could dine-in for breakfast at a packed restaurant, without being asked their vaccination status.
She also said her husband was, however, not too lucky in getting a haircut. He was turned down twice for not being inoculated, but at the third try, he got his haircut when another barber “did not ask anything”.
The woman said it was part of a “social experiment” after the government allowed dine-in for those fully vaccinated.
She said she wanted to carry out the test after many had said “anti-vaxxers can rot at home”, alluding to the stricter rules for those who have yet to get their vaccines.
