KUALA LUMPUR: Some 38% of the country’s population or 12,408,803 have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of yesterday, according to the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV).
An infographic shared on the committee’s official Twitter account showed 483,855 doses were administered yesterday, with 155,030 being the first dose and 328,825 the second dose.
“As of yesterday, the total number of first dose recipients stood at 17,961,600, or 55% of the population, while the cumulative number of doses given out, including for those fully vaccinated, under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) was 30,370,403.”
PICK was launched on Feb 24 to contain the pandemic, which hit the country early last year.
