PETALING JAYA:
Ten siblings living at the Kota Damansara People’s Housing Project (PPR) have become orphans after their parents succumbed to Covid-19 in a space of just four days.

This was revealed in a Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) Facebook post after its officers visited the siblings.

“According to our records, this is a poor family that has been receiving aid since 2015.

“We visited the children to console them and bring them food baskets.

“The children tell us that the rent is overdue, God willing, we will help them settle their dues.”

LZS said it would also be paying out death benefit payments of RM3,000 to the siblings and ensure the family continues to receive aid.
