37.5% of adult population fully vaccinated

As of yesterday, 15,772,101 have received their first dose, and 8,770,336 both doses.

Labuan, Sarawak, the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan and Perlis have the highest number of fully vaccinated individuals to date.
PETALING JAYA:
About 8.77 million or 37.5% of the country’s adult population has completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of yesterday, said health minister Dr Adham Baba.

According to the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), more than 24 million vaccine doses comprising first and second shots have been administered as of yesterday.

The committee said a total of 15,772,101 have received their first dose while 8,770,336 have received both doses.

This brings the overall number of vaccine doses administered to date to 24,542,437.

JKJAV noted that the five states that had recorded the highest rate of vaccination, after completing both doses, were Labuan (58.7), Sarawak (53.9%), Klang Valley (37.7%), Negeri Sembilan (37.5%), and Perlis (34.4%).

On the progress of daily vaccinations under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, a total of 389,641 doses were administered yesterday, involving 156,816 first dose recipients and 232,825 who received the second dose.
