According to Berita Harian, the 41-year-old victim’s family only realised that he had died when they tried to wake him up.
The department’s chief, Norazam Khamis, said the victim had tested positive following a swab test on July 29.
“His two siblings, who were also infected, are currently under home quarantine,” the daily quoted him as saying.
Norazam said that according to the victim’s family, the deceased had trouble breathing around 5.30am before he became unconscious.
“It is believed he died at 12.30pm.”
The department’s personnel, he added, had gone to the victim’s house to help retrieve the body after receiving a call at around 9.26pm, before handing the remains over to the police.
