Sabah to get new police chief

Current police commissioner Hazani Ghazali to be transferred to Bukit Aman as security and public order director.

Hazani Ghazali will move to Bukit Aman as security and public order director while Idris Abdullah will move the other way to Sabah as state police chief.
KOTA KINABALU:
Sabah will get a new police chief after the present commissioner Hazani Ghazali’s transfer to Bukit Aman as the new security and public order director.

Hazani will be replaced by Idris Abdullah who is currently Bukit Aman’s management deputy director (services and designations).

These two senior police officers were among 64 who will be transferred with effect from Sept 6. Bukit Aman announced the transfers in a statement today.

Apart from that, intelligence and operations deputy director Dev Kumar will now be the new Bukit Aman criminal investigation department (CID) deputy director.

The department’s investigation and legal deputy director Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri will take over Dev’s existing position.

It was also announced that Bukit Aman’s management deputy director (administration) Mat Kasim Karim will be made the new investigation and traffic enforcement director.

Meanwhile, Bukit Aman D4 central criminal intelligence unit/criminal record assistant director Dellhan Yahaya will become the new Dang Wangi police chief.
