PETALING JAYA: The science, technology and innovation ministry has affirmed its commitment to provide full cooperation and continuous explanation on the national Covid-19 immunisation programme (PICK) to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
This morning, the ministry attended a proceeding conducted by the PAC with regards to the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines.
In a statement, the ministry said the proceeding, which lasted three hours, was chaired by PAC chairman Wong Kah Woh and attended by the committee members.
“During the proceeding, MOSTI provided a briefing on the progress of the implementation of PICK.
“MOSTI is ready to provide continuous explanation to the PAC until the end of PICK,” it said in a statement.
As of yesterday over 17 million doses had been administered, with over five million people or 17.5% of the population already fully vaccinated, according to the Covid-19 vaccine supply access guarantee special committee (JKJAV).
