PETALING JAYA:
Anti-graft movement Rasuah Busters has started to gain more traction nationally, with a few million members from 200 organisations now linking arms to support the campaign.

Its founder Hussamuddin Yaacub said it has received support from every spectrum of society, including Malaysian youths, who are committed to infusing integrity and weeding out corruption from our society.

“The rehabilitation from the culture of corruption should be carried out in a holistic manner and take into account the view of every member in the coalition, who understand their respective target segments best.

“Even though our journey has just begun, I pray there will be no place for corruption to hide anymore,” the Karangkraf Media Group chairman said in a statement today.

He also called for this “coalition of the willing” to continue its support for Rasuah Busters and to make a corruption-free Malaysia their main agenda while driving transformation of morals and values.

“Corruption is a common enemy that we cannot simply brush aside anymore.”

After starting in February, the movement has been meeting regularly to discuss, debate and formulate strategies to combat corruption and promote good governance in various institutions and among all Malaysians.

The members of the Rasuah Busters coalition include NGOs, religious groups, companies and media organisations such as Sinar Harian, Astro Awani and FMT.
