More groups, individuals join drive to help those in need of food and assistance.

PETALING JAYA:
The “#BenderaPutih” (white flag) campaign is a community initiative to help those in desperate need of food and assistance in light of the worsening Covid-19 health and economic crisis.

The campaign encourages those who are struggling financially to reach out for help without fear or shame by displaying a white flag in front of their home as a sign that they need assistance.

1. Gotta Give Back

This NGO aims to provide food assistance to orphanages and underprivileged children.

2. Spektra Peduli

A group of entrepreneurs has established an initiative known as Spektra Peduli Care Pack to help individuals and families hit by the pandemic.

The care packs will be distributed throughout July within the Klang Valley.

The group welcomes donations to support the initiative.

3. Gurudwara Sahib Muar

Individuals in Muar, Johor, are encouraged to collect food here from 8am to 10am everyday.

Aizz aims to provide food assistance to affected families in Timur Laut, Penang.

This cafe in Skudai, Johor, has set up a food bank for individuals in need.

Food collection or donations may be made between 1pm and 7pm at the cafe.
