The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) said all identified close contacts were immediately asked to get tested and isolate themselves while awaiting their results.
In a statement, it said all 11 close contacts had tested negative.
“Because information on positive cases are private and confidential, only qualified medical officers were allowed to access such information. At the same time, SCCC does not prohibit any other staff from getting tested,” it said.
CITF said the affected area in the PPV had been immediately sanitised by the SCCC management.
It stressed that the PPV had to comply with the rules under the Covid-19 Risk Management Programme, such as physical distancing and conducting checks on staff and volunteers to see if they exhibited any symptoms.
“SCCC PPV staff also undergo body temperature checks before beginning their shifts, are required to wear face masks and encouraged to wear face shields while on duty.”
CITF added that all PPVs under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme were required to follow the recent indoor ventilation and air quality guidelines for Covid-19 to reduce the risk of airborne transmission.
On the SCCC PPV, it said all former Covid-19 patients who had passed the quarantine period were allowed to receive the vaccine with proof of their home release order issued by the district health office.
