The White Flag campaign – where to go 13

More groups join in drive to help those in need of food and assistance.

PETALING JAYA:
The “#BenderaPutih” (white flag) campaign is a community initiative to help those in desperate need of food and assistance in light of the worsening Covid-19 health and economic crisis.

The campaign encourages those who are struggling financially to reach out for help without fear or shame by displaying a white flag in front of their home as a sign that they need assistance.

Latest additions to the list:

1. Church of Praise

This church in Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru, is providing assistance for those in need during the current lockdown.

2. Kuala Lumpur Baptist Church

This church has set up a food bank for individuals in need.

Anyone in need of assistance is encouraged to message Esther at 012-3930949. Please include name, address, contact number and number of household members in the message.

3. SunwayCares Food Aid

In the spirit of the White Flag campaign, Sunway is collecting non-perishable processed food items for those in need during these tough times.

These essential items will be distributed to families in need in the Subang Jaya area in collaboration with SJ Echo and the Lion’s Club of Subang Jaya.

4. Food Aid Damansara Perdana

To get a food pack, contact Tammy Lim at 012-2964148 (WhatsApp) with your details and wait for confirmation before collecting it from DIB restaurant, Empire Damansara (PJ Trade Centre).

5. Untuk Malaysia

This education movement aims to provide nationwide assistance to those affected by the lockdown.
