PETALING JAYA:
More and more Malaysians are getting behind the White Flag or #BenderaPutih campaign, with several businesses coming forward to support the initiative which went viral several days ago on social media.

Stemming from the financial instability many Malaysians are facing during the Covid-19 pandemic, the community initiative calls on those in desperate need of food and assistance to display a white flag in front of their home as a sign that they need immediate help.

Earlier, FMT had compiled a list of some individuals and organisations helping those in need.

Here are some additions to the list:

1. MC Ocean Holding

MC Ocean Holding, which sells a variety of food and cosmetics, is urging those who see white flags in front of people’s homes to contact the company’s representatives across the country.

Details such as the address and a photo of the white flag at the home should be included with the message.

3. Vit’s

Another business that has offered to help is instant noodle manufacturer Vit’s, which will be sending out food deliveries to homes that fly white flags in 16 housing areas in Rawang today and tomorrow.

The deliveries will run from 10am to 4pm.
