Ex-minister Mujahid is new Perak PH chief

His three deputies are DAP’s Nga Kor Ming, Amanah’s Asmuni Awi and PKR’s Farhash Wafa Salvador.

The opposition coalition made these appointments in an apparent show of unity.
PETALING JAYA:
Former Islamic affairs minister Mujahid Yusof Rawa is the new chairman of Perak Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He will have three deputies from the other members of the coalition, in an apparent move to show opposition unity.

They are DAP’s Nga Kor Ming, Amanah’s Asmuni Awi and PKR’s Farhash Wafa Salvador, all of whom are the heads of their parties’ state chapters.

PKR’s Mohamad Hairul Amir Sabri will be PH’s state youth chief while DAP’s Wong May Ing will be the women’s chief.

Meanwhile, DAP’s Batu Gajah MP V Sivakumar will remain as Perak PH’s secretariat chief.

“Perak PH will continue to focus on facing the pandemic, which has massively impacted all parties,” it said in a statement.
