The accepted rate by the World Health Organization is below 5%.

Senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the Salim anak Unang, Judy anak Kudi, Mathew anak Merang, Danggang anak Ujang, Lait anak Ijang, Chandi anak Kilau, Putut anak Jugah, Sadin anak Jeli and Mador anak Rendah longhouses will be under lockdown until July 2 to curb the spread of Covid-19.

“A total of 84 residents were screened and of that number, there were 48 positive cases recorded with a positivity rate of 57.14%,” he said in a statement.

“The health ministry has found that the spread (of Covid-19) has started and the infectivity rate is high in the locality.”

He also said two factories in Segamat, Johor, and their workers’ quarters, would be placed under EMCO from June 19 to July 2 after 52 cases were detected following 488 tests.

Meanwhile, the EMCO at several areas in Sabah will draw to a close at 11.59pm today after a decrease in cases there.

In Sarawak, the EMCO at the Sigah anak Lak longhouse in Mukah will also end today.
