Wrong PPV given? Fix it with MySejahtera helpdesk

There have been numerous complaints that users or their dependents had been given appointments in states they do not live in.

PETALING JAYA:
Those who have been given the wrong vaccination centres (PPV) for their appointments have been advised by vaccine minister Khairy Jamaluddin to use the interactive helpdesk in the MySejahtera application.

This follows numerous complaints by users that they or their dependents had been given appointments at PPVs in states they did not live in.

At a joint press conference with health minister Dr Adham Baba, Khairy said the Covid-19 vaccine supply access guarantee special committee (JKJAV) will ensure that these errors will be rectified through the app’s helpdesk.

“That’s the quickest fix right now. So I ask anyone with appointments in a different place or state to make their request through the helpdesk, then we will give you a new appointment as soon as possible at your nearest PPV,” he said.

On complaints that some had turned up for their appointments only to find the PPVs closed, Khairy said this was a manual error and that JKJAV was investigating it.

He said appointments were manually uploaded, which could then lead to errors when the dates given to recipients were not according to when the PPVs were actually open.

“This will be resolved as most PPVs will be operating seven days a week soon,” he said.

Khairy also said Phase 4 of the immunisation programme, dubbed the virus control phase, will roll out this week, starting with the manufacturing sectors opened during the movement control order (MCO).

Coordinated by the international trade and industry ministry, some 30,000 vaccine doses have been allocated for Phase 4 in June, excluding Sarawak.

After manufacturing, it will soon be opened up to the construction, farming, retail and hospitality sectors.

Meanwhile, Adham said there were 41,630 Covid-19 cases in the past week, a 20% decline compared to the previous week. There was also a 13.7% decrease in Covid-19 deaths, with 553 this week compared to the week before.

He also said 1,413 Stage 4 and 5 Covid-19 patients died from April to June 13.
