The party also said that Iswardy Morni acted on his own and that all his video clips were his own and did not reflect the views of PKR, adding that the party respects the royal institution and would defend its position as stated in the party’s constitution.
PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said Iswardy’s controversial video clips had been discussed by the central leadership, which expressed concern and had warned him to stop such actions.
“Now that his latest video has come under police investigation, we will wait for their action before we decide on his position in the party,” he said in a statement today.
Fahmi said Iswardy was an ordinary member of the party’s Petra Jaya branch and did not hold any positions in the party at any level.
Last night, acting CID director in Bukit Aman Dev Kumar said police were tracking down Iswardy in relation to a live video clip on his official Youtube channel in which he had allegedly insulted the Agong.
He said three investigation papers had been opened following police reports against him.
