Dr Kelvin Yii said he has received several complaints from the public over this matter.
The Bandar Kuching MP said he had been informed that some of those who wanted to avoid the queue, headed straight for the booth reserved for differently abled people.
Yii said that if such allegations were true, they had to be addressed.
“We shouldn’t be allowing any double standards and anyone to cut queue regardless of status, especially in areas reserved for those with special needs,” he said in a statement.
He went on to urge the Sarawak disaster management committee and the health ministry to look into these claims and put a stop to any such action.
When contacted, Yii said he had received such complaints from the public since yesterday.
“Members of the public sent me pictures of such incidents,” he said, adding he was willing to share the pictures with the relevant authorities.
