PETALING JAYA: Police arrested 440 individuals on the eve of Hari Raya for flouting SOPs, a majority of whom failed to register themselves when entering premises.
In a statement, senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said of this number, 435 were issued compounds, while the remaining five were remanded.
Other offences included failure to wear face masks and not observing physical distancing.
Meanwhile, authorities at the borders also seized two land vehicles under the ongoing Op Benteng.
Ismail also said 514 individuals were quarantined last night upon entering Malaysia.
