JOHOR BAHRU:
Johor Bersatu is conducting an internal investigation over the resignation letters submitted by its Simpang Renggam division leadership, as viralled on social media.

Johor Bersatu secretary Sahruddin Jamal confirmed the letter had been received on Monday.

“We are probing the allegation that the Simpang Renggam Bersatu division has been dissolved,” he said when contacted by FMT.

Earlier, a Facebook account using the name “Pak Tam” had uploaded a picture of the letter, the names of all committee members who had resigned, as well as a statement by the division’s deputy chief, Mohd Sidik Arifin.

Sidik said he had officially resigned on Monday and claimed all the division committee members had lost faith in the acting division head.

“I am not the only one who resigned. Two-thirds of the committee members have resigned as well,” he said.
