KUALA LUMPUR:
Muslims in Malaysia will begin the fasting month of Ramadan tomorrow (April 13), the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, announced tonight.

He said the date was set by decree of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah, for all states after receiving the consent of the Malay rulers.
