Other states and federal territories remain under RMCO.

Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang and Kelantan will remain under CMCO until April 28. Sarawak’s CMCO is set to last until April 26.
KUALA LUMPUR:
The conditional movement control order (CMCO) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, Kelantan and Sarawak has been extended again, senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced today.

Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang and Kelantan will remain under CMCO until April 28. Sarawak’s CMCO is set to last until April 26.

Meanwhile, the other states and federal territories will remain under recovery MCO (RMCO).

Interstate travel is still not allowed, he added, with the exception of tourism activities among states under RMCO.

Inter-district travel however is allowed, except in Sabah and Sarawak.

Meanwhile, Kampung Meruntum in Putatan Sabah will be come under the enhanced MCO starting tomorrow till April 26 following a surge in Covid-19 cases.

Ismail said that as of last night 71 people were screened, with five testing positive for the virus.

About 111 people were arrested for flouting MCO, 101 of whom were issued a compound, while 10 were remanded.

Among the offences committed include failing to register prior to entering a premise, failing to observe social distancing and wearing a face mask.

“We find the number of people flouting the SOPs has increased again. At one time, it was only two digits.”

Ismail said offences linked to entertainment centres has also spiked.

He said that when the government announced a RM10,000 fine, these cases dropped to a single digit.

Ismail also said that 27 undocumented migrants were arrested last night, while authorities seized six land vehicles.
