Hassan said the Warisan members are from 98 branches in the Sebatik constituency.

“We have submitted the membership forms to PPBM. The decision to join the party was made after discussions with the grassroots and also the heads of branches who were previously from Warisan,” he told reporters.

Hassan said he had met with all the branch leaders after he left Warisan in February.

“They agreed to join PPBM after we invited them without coercion,” he said.

Last night, Hassan submitted his membership application form to Sabah PPBM head and chief minister Hajiji Noor in conjunction with the state chapter’s second anniversary.

It ended speculation over where he was headed after he quit Warisan and declared himself an independent friendly to the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) ruling coalition.

In the state election last year, Hassan defeated PPBM’s Muis Picho with a 522-majority after garnering 2,665 votes.
