KOTA KINABALU:
Sebatik assemblyman Hassan A Gani Pg Amir has joined Muhyiddin Yassin’s PPBM, more than a month after quitting Warisan.

Hassan submitted his membership application form to Sabah PPBM chief and chief minister Hajiji Noor today, in conjunction with the state chapter’s second anniversary.

This puts an end to speculation over where the assemblyman was headed after he quit his former party in late February and declared himself an independent who backed the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) ruling coalition.

He also said he was throwing his support behind the prime minister.

On Feb 25, Hassan announced that he was leaving Warisan to back the GRS state government, saying he decided to leave the Shafie Apdal-led party as it focused more on politicking instead of the people’s well-being.

In the state election last year, Hassan defeated PPBM’s Muis Picho with a 522-majority after garnering 2,665 votes.
