“We don’t want to see the ‘little Napoleons’ hampering our efforts to bring development and investments to Sabah.”
Speaking during a courtesy call by the Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC) at his office here, Hajiji underlined his intention to seeing the SMJ development plan being implemented quickly and smoothly.
“We have formulated policies to facilitate investments in Sabah and we want to make it conducive for investors in Sabah,” he said.
In the meeting today, Hajiji said he was glad to have discussions with the Chinese chamber of commerce leaders from various districts in Sabah.
“I am here and I am willing to listen to your views or suggestions,” he told the delegation led by SUCCC president Andrew Liew.
Among the issues raised by the group was the slow progress of the Pan Borneo Highway project.
Hajiji told the group he had been assured by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin during the latter’s recent visit to Sabah that its implementation will be expedited using the Private Funding Initiative.
