Diving, fishing and other water sports allowed in Sabah

Fast boats will be allowed to take people for sea and river activities at full capacity subject to distancing rules.

KOTA KINABALU:
Sea and river recreational activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling and fishing are now allowed in Sabah beginning tomorrow, state minister Masidi Manjun said today.

He said fast boats would be allowed to ferry people for sea and river recreational activities, The boats would use their capacity subject to the physical distancing rule of one metre between passengers.

Masidi said a total of 39 new positive Covid-19 cases were recorded today in the state, bringing the total cumulative number of cases to 53,903.

He said 158 patients had recovered and were discharged today, bringing the recoveries tally to 52,869 people.

A total of 2,975 people received their first vaccinations today, bringing the total number of recipients to 25,439 since the immunisation campaign began on March 4 in the state.
