“It is not true, I remain committed to DAP and Pakatan Harapan,” Mordi Bimol, the MP for Mas Gading, said in a statement.
Mordi said opposition MPs who had jumped ship had their own reasons, although the main factor was the special allocation for parliamentary constituencies.
Since “time immemorial”, he said, only elected representatives from the ruling government would receive the funds, but not the opposition.
“And that is used to poach those from the opposition.”
Mordi said this was a serious issue that needs to be addressed, adding that since PN came to power, there had been a few selfish people who prioritised position ahead of the people.
His denial comes days after Sarawak DAP rubbished such rumours.
Last month, Julau MP Larry Sng and Steven Choong (Tebrau) quit PKR and threw their support behind Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
Earlier this month, PKR’s Sekijang MP Natrah Ismail claimed she was approached to switch parties and support the PN government and Muhyiddin.
