PETALING JAYA:
Two former DAP assemblymen in Perak have joined PPBM, the party’s state chapter has confirmed.

Tronoh assemblyman Paul Yong and Buntong assemblyman A Sivasubramaniam, who were kicked out of DAP for supporting the Perikatan Nasional (PN) state government, are now part of Muhyiddin Yassin’s party.

Previously, Sivasubramaniam was reported to have joined Gerakan, which is now a part of PN.

Contacted by FMT, Perak PPBM secretary Zainol Fadzi Paharudin confirmed that the two elected representatives have joined the party, saying they have been associate members of PPBM since last December.

Yong is the two-term assemblyman for Tronoh and was a former Perak executive councillor when Pakatan Harapan was in the state government.

Sivasubramaniam has been Buntong’s assemblyman for three terms now.
