
In a statement, he said all 10 were workplace clusters.
The clusters were detected in Johor, Selangor, Perak, Sabah and Negeri Sembilan.
Four clusters were detected in Johor, and two each in Selangor and Perak. Sabah and Negeri Sembilan reported one cluster each.
Clusters that reported the most infections today were Tembok Bukit Besi (146 cases), Sungai Putus (128) and Tanjung Suria (64).
The 11 new clusters are:
Selangor:
Jalan Perusahaan Satu — a workplace cluster in Hulu Selangor district. Positive cases were reported on Feb 4 after a mass targeted testing exercise was conducted on workers at a factory on Jalan Perusahaan 1, Kawasan Perusahaan Beranang, Hulu Langat. Up to Feb 20, a total of 472 workers had been screened, with 43 found positive.
Perdana Tiga — a workplace cluster in Gombak district. Cases under this cluster were reported from Dec 25 after mass targeted testings were conducted on factory workers at Kawasan Industri Rawang Perdana, Rawang. Up to Feb 20, a total of 87 workers had been screened, with 52 found positive.
Johor:
Jalan Lapangan Terbang — a workplace cluster in Kulai, Johor Bahru and Pontian districts. Positive cases were reported from Feb 13 after a mass targeted testing exercise was conducted on workers at a factory on Jalan Lapangan Terbang, Lapangan Terbang Sultan Ismail, Senai. Up to Feb 20, a total of 482 workers had been screened, with 41 found positive.
Jalan Tanjung Enam — a workplace cluster in Johor Bahru district. Positive cases were reported from Feb 20 after a mass targeted testing exercise was conducted on factory workers at Jalan Tanjung A/6, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, Johor Bahru. Up to Feb 20, a total of 341 workers had been screened, with 17 found positive.
Jalan Wawasan 14 — a workplace cluster in Batu Pahat district. The index case for this cluster was first reported on Feb 15. The cluster involved factory workers on Jalan Wawasan 14, Kawasan Perindustrian Sri Gading II, Batu Pahat. Up to Feb 20, a total of 70 workers had been screened, with 17 found positive.
Batu Dua Setengah — a workplace cluster in Batu Pahat district. The index case for this cluster was first reported on Feb 4. The cluster involved factory workers at Batu 2 1/2, Jalan Kluang, Batu Pahat. Up to Feb 20, a total of 154 workers had been screened, with seven found positive.
Sabah:
Jalan Pasar — a workplace cluster under the Kota Belud district. The index case for this cluster was first reported on Feb 11. The cluster involved close contacts of family members and workers at a Kota Belud market. Up to Feb 20, a total of 180 individuals had been screened, with 13 found positive.
Perak:
Jalan Perlabuhan — a workplace cluster under the Manjung district. The index case for this cluster was first reported on Feb 13. The cluster involved factory workers who lived along Jalan Pelabuhan Utama, Taman Perindustrian IKS, Manjung. Up to Feb 20, a total of 52 individuals had been screened, with 15 found positive.
Batu Sebelas — a workplace cluster under the Kinta and Kuala Kangsar districts. The index case for this cluster was first reported on Feb 17. The cluster involved factory workers at Batu 11, off Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Chemor. Up to Feb 20, a total of 22 individuals had been screened, with 11 found positive.
Negeri Sembilan:
Kasia construction site — a workplace cluster under Seremban district. Positive cases were reported from Feb 8 after a mass targeted testing exercise was conducted on construction workers at Desa Kasia, Bandar Baru Nilai, Seremban. Up to Feb 20, a total of 155 workers had been screened, with 51 found positive.
Clusters closed:
Eleven clusters have officially ended today, namely the Jalan Terolak, Persiaran Tasek, Jalan Mawila, Rawa Akasia, Pasar Baru, Sawmill Luit, Pantai Peringgit, Kampung Badak, Jalan Ijuk, Belati and Setapak Indah clusters. There are now 510 active clusters out of the 1,068 reported.
