PETALING JAYA:
The Selangor government has decided to donate some RM2 million to three states that have been hit by floods recently – Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu.

In announcing the special aid package today, Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said RM1 million will be channelled to Pahang and RM500,000 each to Kelantan and Terengganu.

Amirudin also said he will be giving one month’s salary to the state’s Covid-19 fund, which has been reactivated to help manage the pandemic.

“The state government also proposes to cut the wages of executive councillors, assemblymen and senior officers in government-linked companies. The wage cut mechanism will be finalised and the money will be channelled to the fund,” he said.
