Pejuang will work with NGO while waiting for RoS’ approval, says Mukhriz

Pro tem president Mukhriz Mahathir says its members and leaders are allowed to use Pertubuhan Gerak Khidmat Malaysia for any of the party’s activities.

Mukhriz Mahathir reiterated previous claims that Putrajaya had intervened in the application by Pejuang to the RoS.
SHAH ALAM:
Pejuang, the party founded by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, will carry out its activities under the name of an existing NGO for the time being, pending its approval by the Registrar of Societies (RoS).

Mukhriz Mahathir, Pejuang’s pro tem president, said members or leaders of the party will use the services of Pertubuhan Gerak Khidmat Malaysia, due to the continued delay in its registration by the RoS.

“You are allowed to use this NGO for any of the party’s activities,” he said in Majlis Amanat Perjuangan 2021 today.

Mukhriz said Pejuang had submitted its application to RoS, but until now had not received any reply. He reiterated previous claims that Putrajaya had intervened in the application process.

“It is a bit strange because the power to approve the application falls under the RoS.

“However, the situation with Pejuang’s registration is very different because it is under the purview of the home affairs ministry as well,” he said.
